Autobot History

These are the official recordings, findings and texts of Autobot history. Some texts have degraded beyond retrieval.

"Freedom is not the right to live as we please, but the right to find out how we ought to live in order to fulfill our potential."

Wisdom from the beginning of Autobot memory has been held in the Matrix and passed on from one leader to the next. It is rare that the new leader think himself worthy of the gift and responsibility.

It was no different when Optimus Prime took the Matrix from Seritus Prime.

Optimus was barely a commander of his own squad when the current Prime died in battle with Miaxus. During a quiet yet profound ceremony on his deathbed, the old Matrix holder told Prime that he was not worthy when he first got the Matrix. Prime gathered around him advisors from many different Autobot cells who could give him wisdom from their experiences.

Elita and Optimus began having professional problems more and more. Due to their rarity, Prime felt the female Autobots should be kept more behind the lines. Elita violently disagreed and an impasse was reached by both parties.

Tensions grew even while Optimus rallied together the various cells of resistance around Cybertron. The argument erupted into near violence with some of the troops. Elita gathered the females and left the base. Alpha Trion appeared for the first time since he rebuilt both Prime and Elita. After a discussion with the current leader, he became a mentor and confidant to the females.

As the females became a formidable fighting force, many of the command were forced to acknowledge their abilities and skills as equals.

Both groups were reconciling when the energy crisis came to head. It was decided that a joint mission between them would go a long way to healing their rift. Elita and Moonracer along with a few of their warriors left with Optimus Prime and his group on the Ark.

It was attacked by the Nemesis before both ships were lost to their respective factions.
